- Enthusiasm for future energy systems, especially Power-to-X
- Current studies in the field of Mechanical Engineering/Industrial Engineering/CES with a focus on Energy Engineering/Process Engineering or equivalent
- Good programming skills (ideally in Python) are required
- Basic knowledge in mathematical optimization, energy system modeling and Life Cycle Assessment (LCA) is an advantage
- Good communication skills

- Support in modeling and optimizing Power-to-X energy systems
- Application of Life Cycle Assessment (LCA) for existing and future energy systems
- Collaboration on current research topics in the DAC-2-E-Methane project (https://www.ltt.rwth-aachen.de/go/id/bienlv)
What We OfferWhat We Offer
The successful candidate will be employed as a student assistant.
The position is to be filled at the earliest possible date and offered for a fixed term of 12 months.
Employment beyond the fixed-term period is possible.
This is a part-time contract position.
The standard weekly hours will be 8-11 hours.
The salary is based on the RWTH Guidelines for Student and Graduate Assistants.
The position corresponds to a pay grade of 15.20 euros per hour.
